Sexual Assault Response Volunteers
Assist survivors of sexual assault with immediate crisis support services at local hospitals. Shifts are 8-hours (on call). Services may include: safety planning, support and education regarding the sexual assault forensic exam, connection to resources, and education on rights related to reporting sexual assault to law enforcement.
NO EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED.
Training is provided. We ask that all potential volunteers are ready to learn, listen and practice empathy. It is not required that a facilitator be a survivor of sexual assault. We ask that volunteers agree to a 6-month time commitment.
