Sexual Assault Hospital Response Volunteers
Assist survivors of sexual violence with immediate crisis support services at local hospitals. Services may include: safety planning, support and education regarding the sexual assault forensic exam, connection to resources, and education on rights related to reporting sexual assault to law enforcement. Volunteers take 4 on call shifts a month.
NO EXPERIENCE FOR THIS POSITION IS REQUIRED.
Volunteers respond to local hospitals to support survivors during a sexual assault forensic exam. Volunteers listen, believe, and empower survivors during the exam and can provide food, drinks, and blankets to help survivors be more comfortable.
