Online Mental Health Screening Tools

Published: November 1, 2018

When it comes to mental health, you may not have the language to describe how you are. Instead, you may just know that something is off. If you have been feeling sad, withdrawn, anxious, stressed, or out of control, we encourage you to complete an online mental health screening. In a matter of minutes, you will learn if how you’re feeling, acting or behaving is a symptom of something more serious. Mental health conditions, like anxiety, are real and can be treated. On the Families First website, we link to the Mental Health of America Screening Tools.

Mental Health of America was founded in 1909 and is the nation’s leading community-based nonprofit dedicated to addressing the needs of those living with mental illness and to promoting the overall mental health of all Americans. In 2014, Mental Health America launched their online screening program aimed at providing a collection of online, free, confidential, anonymous, and validated screening tools to help individuals understand and learn more about their mental health. There are 11 screens in total that cover everything from depression and addiction to work health and PTSD.

Once an online screening is completed, you will be provided with information, resources and tools to discuss the results with a provider. Families First is committed to creating healthier communities by strengthening families and individuals during life challenges and changes.
