Diamond and Families First: A Story of Hope

Published: December 6, 2017

Joy and Diamond share a message of hope this season.

Joy is a home-based therapist at Families First. She met her client Diamond two years ago. Diamond was lacking confidence and control due to substance abuse. She wanted help, but she didn't have support at the time and didn't know where to turn to get treatment.

Throughout the two years that Joy worked with Diamond, she helped her client develop a wide array of communication and relapse prevention skills. Together, they built a support system to help her maintain her sobriety.

Today, Diamond's story is one of hope. She has a job and continues to strengthen her skills and the support system she needs, attending support meetings and watching her daughter thrive.

Through your generous support, we can see more success stories like Diamond's. We hope you'll consider giving to the All is Calm, All is Bright campaign at www.familiesfirst.org/holiday-giving.
