Thanks to generous major retailers, support is just a click away when buying virtually anything you might already be purchasing. More and more retailers have made their corporate giving program easy by allowing customers to direct ‘corporate’ donations to a cause they support by linking to their personal shopping account. If you’re not doing these things, you might be leaving hundreds of dollars on the table that could be going to your local community!

Amazon sells just about anything from trash bags to furniture, and now they’re even in the grocery business. You may already have an Amazon regular or Prime account. Amazon will remember your selection once you save it, and you can change it at any time. Then start your shopping from smile.amazon.com. On this site, you’ll see the same prices, selection and shopping experience as you would on Amazon.com. But by starting here, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to your selected nonprofit organization.

Kroger operates nearly 2,800 stores in 35 states and has a long history of supporting the local communities in which they operate. If you shop at Kroger, you probably already have a card. After all, you must have a ‘Kroger card’ to get sale prices and fuel points, right? If you don’t already have a card, it’s as easy as asking for it at the checkout counter. Then go online to link your card to your favorite charity. (The charity must be registered with Kroger to receive donations). Once you enroll your Kroger card in the Kroger Community Rewards program, you can earn your favorite organization a share of the nearly $52 million the Kroger Family of Stores donate each year! Every time you shop, you just show your Kroger card.

Go Yodel is a software platform that allows businesses to set up services or products for which the participating company will make a donation to a nonprofit organization whenever a customer buys their featured product using the Go Yodel code. Operating in over 200 cities nationwide, products and services are discounted, or ‘bundled’ to offer a special rate to the consumer. So, you can save while you shop - love, love! Non-profits work to get the word out about the offers that benefit their organization, and businesses receive sales, new customers, and effortless cause-based marketing as a result. It’s a win-win.
